The Faye-Hamlin.net domain was originally purchased on November 30, 2009.

I made the choice to start a Fanny Hamlin fansite when I heard the news that the former Swedish pop group Play was returning with two original members and one new one. I'd been a Play fan since 2001, so I was very excited to hear about the new Play. I decided I'd like to make a fansite but that I'd rather do a fansite for one member rather than cover news relating to all three current members plus the former members. Fanny had always been my favorite member since the beginning of Play for her strong voice, unique sense of fashion, and cool demeanor. It was only natural, therefore, that my fansite focus on Fanny Hamlin.

The site launched the night of December 2, 2009, as a news blog while the rest of the website was still under construction. By mid-December, the site was fully-functional.

A second domain name, Fanny-Hamlin.net, was purchased and fully-functional by February 15, 2010.

Fanny-Hamlin.net was the first fansite dedicated to a single member of Play opened or re-opened since Play's comeback in 2009. It was also the first Play fansite with its own domain name since the group's relaunch.
